Similar species
Pingasa dispensata (Walker, 1860). India: North India, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu.
Pingasa dispensata with OD at https://www.biodiversitylibrary.org/item/120012#page/701/mode/1up. However, the base of P. dispensata UN is luteous, as per OD, which is not the case in Pingasa pseudoterpinaria. Moreover Hampson mentions P. dispensata is smaller and whiter.
Pingasa chlora chlora (Stoll, 1782). India: Indian Himalaya.
Differs from chlora in being uniformly and much more irrorated with fuscous. Underside without traces of yellow, but with a grey tinge ; the submarginal band fuscous, much reduced, and narrow. Black-tipped points of the post-medial present in pseudoterpinaria; absent in chlora. The second loop (near the inner margin) of the ante-medial line is more pointed in chlora; more rounded in pseudoterpinaria.
