Taxonomic Information

Cnaphalocrocis Lederer, 1863 species known from India. 
Cnaphalocrocis bilinealis (Hampson, 1891) (Dolichosticha). India: Meghalaya (TL: Khasi Hills), Tamil Nadu, Nilgiris, West Bengal. Andaman & Nicobar Is. 
Cnaphalocrocis euryterminalis (Hampson, 1917) (Marasmia). India: Meghalaya (TL: Khasi Hills). 
Cnaphalocrocis iolealis (Walker, 1859) (Botys). India: Maharashtra, West Bengal. 
Cnaphalocrocis latimarginalis (Hampson, 1891) (Dolichosticha). India: Uttarakhand, Meghalaya, Sikkim, Nilgiris (TL), Kerala, Andaman Is.
Cnaphalocrocis mimica (Warren, [1896]) (Lasiacme). India: West Bengal. 
Cnaphalocrocis medinalis (Guenée, 1854) (Salbia). India: throughout India.  

Cnaphalocrocis patnalis (Bradley, 1981) (Marasmia). India: Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Andaman Is.; Sri Lanka (TL). 
Cnaphalocrocis pilosa (Warren, 1896) (Lasiacme). India: Meghalaya (TL: Khasi Hills). 
Cnaphalocrocis rutilalis (Walker, [1859]) (Botys). India: Maharashtra, West Bengal, Assam, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, Delhi, Gujarat, Kerala, Karnataka, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Meghalaya, Andhra Pradesh; Sri Lanka. 
Cnaphalocrocis trebiusalis (Walker, 1859) (Botys). India: Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, West Bengal, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu; Sri Lanka. 

Cnaphalocrocis poeyalis (Boisduval, 1833) (Botys) and Cnaphalocrocis trapezalis (Guenée, 1854) (Salbia) both now listed as 
Marasmia trapezalis (Guenée, 1854) and Marasmia poeyalis (Boisduval, 1833) based on Nuss et al. (2022).
