Taxonomic Information

Parapercnia Wehrli, 1939 species known from India and Sri Lanka. 
Parapercnia caritaria (Walker, 1860). Sri Lanka. 
Parapercnia diurnaria (Guenée,1858). India: S. India. 
Parapercnia cordularia (Swinhoe, 1893). India; Nepal.  
Parapercnia herbidaria (Guenée, 1857). India: Meghalaya (Khasi Hills); Nepal.
Parapercnia irrorataria (Bremer & Grey, 1853). India: Meghalaya (Khasi Hills). Parapercnia lectularia (Swinhoe,1891) 
is a synonym. 
Parapercnia pertusaria (Felder & Rogenhofer, 1875). India: West Bengal (TL: Darjeeling). India; Nepal. 
Parapercnia striatifera Hampson,1902 . India: S. India (TL: Travancore). 
Parapercnia sinensium (Oberthür, 1913). India. 
Parapercnia xanthypochlora (Wehrli, 1924). India: Arunachal Pradesh. 
Parapercnia kalakadaria (Sato, 2014). S. & W. India. 

Described from Tamil Nadu by Sato (2014). These records from Goa and Maharashtra are the first records of Parapercnia​​​​​​​ kalakadaria (Sato, 2014) from Western India and extend the known range of the species.

Ophthalmitis Fletcher, 1979 is considered a junior subjective synonym of Parapercnia Wehrli, 1939 (Murillo-Ramos et al, 2021).
