Note: A very variable species.
Similar species: Pangora erosa has more white colour at the base of the forewing and the ground colour is a little bit different. Quite good figures of the females are in Seitz: Bombyces et Sphinges Indoaustraliens, Pl. 10/a." per comms D.r Karel Cerny.
