Hampson, G. F. (1892). The Fauna of British India, Including Ceylon and Burma: Moths Volume 1
SS: Banisia spp. The species are doubtfully separated by the formation and number of white spots on the forewing, as this spotting is variable, and in some individuals, might not be present at all. Hence, the only reliable means to separate them is through genitalia dissection and/or comparing DNA sequences.
