Similar species: Tamba taiwana Yoshimoto, 2002. Extralimital species that has ground colour of wings pale brown, lacks purplish tinge of venusta, has diffuse orange spot outside the postmedial, below subcostal and hindwing postmedial line weakly waved. Refer Yoshimoto (2002), Fig 2.
