Similar species: Tamba mnionomera Hampson, 1926
Diagnosis. Tamba lala is somewhat similar to Tamba mniomera in appearance, but the postmedials are straighter, more definitely double, and the forewing is bisected longitudinally by a much broader dark brown streak. There is more of a pinkish suffusion, particularly on the hindwing.
