Setora baibarana is a similar species.
Solovyev, A.V. & T.J. Witt, 2009: The Limacodidae of Vietnam. Entomofauna Supplement 16: 33-229 states that the species (S. postornata) is similar to S. baibarana (MATSUMURA, 1931) but distinguished by isoscales-triangular silky brown spot in tornal area of forewings.
