Olene dalbergiae (Moore, 1888). India: Himachal Pradesh (TL: Dharamshala), Punjab (Pathankot), Uttarakhand, Maharashtra (Pune), Meghalaya (Khasi Hills).
Olene dudgeoni (Swinhoe, 1907). India: Sikkim (TL), Meghalaya.
Olene inclusa (Walker, 1856). India: Meghalaya, Uttarakhand, West Bengal, Arunachal Pradesh.
Olene magnalia (Swinhoe, 1903). India: Meghalaya (TL: Khasi Hills).
Olene mendosa Hübner, 1823. India: Assam, Andhra Pradesh, Andaman & Nicobar Is., Karnataka, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Tripura, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Tamil Nadu.
Olene tenebrosa (Walker, 1865). India: West Bengal (Darjeeling), Sikkim, NW Himalaya.
Both male and females of Olene mendosa Hübner, 1823 can occur in different forms, which in themselves are rather variable. Check reference links for more details.

Olene mendosa Hübner, 1823 – Brown Tussock Moth: Acacia catechu, Cajanus cajan, Crotalaria juncea, Dalbergia sissoo (Fabaceae), Alcea rosea (Malvaceae), Vernicia fordii, Vernicia montana (Euphorbiaceae), Cannabis sativa (Cannabaceae), Cinnamomum camphora (Lauraceae),Shorea robusta, Dipterocarpus tuberculatus, Dipterocarpus turbinatus (Dipterocarpaceae),Microcos tomentosa (Malvaceae), Lagerstroemia indica, Lagerstroemia thorelii (Lythraceae), Lantana camara (Verbenaceae), Mangifera indica (Anacardiaceae), Manilkara zapota (Sapotaceae), Prunus persica (Rosaceae), Terminalia catappa (Combretaceae) (Robinson et al. 2010).
