Ganisa similis Moore, 1884 -

Taxonomic Information

Lepindex mentions that Ganisa similis is junior synonym and valid name is Ganisa postica Mell, 1929.
Kishida states in Moths of Nepal that both G. plana and G. similis are valid species with images for both. Kishida’s believes that G. postica is distributed in S. India and Sri Lanka while G. similis ranges from N. India to Sundaland. Smetacek (2008), however, lists both similis and postica from Nainital.
