Similar species (extralimital to India): Eretmocera octopunctata Li, 2019.
It can be distinguished by the forewing dorsum having a clearer and brighter spot at basal 1/3. (Lou et al 2019).

Eretmocera impactella (Walker, 1864): Achyranthes aspera, Beta vulgaris, Alternanthera sessilis, Amaranthus blitum (Amaranthaceae), Arachis hypogaea (Fabaceae), Averrhoa carambola (Oxalidaceae), Cyanthillium cinereum (Asteraceae), Shorea robusta (Dipterocarpaceae), Cenchrus, Zea mays (Poaceae) (Robinson et al. 2010).
