Some authors treat E. fuscifrons as a junior synonym of E. bicaudata. Beccaloni, G., Scoble, M., Kitching, I., Simonsen, T., Robinson, G., Pitkin, B., Hine, A. & Lyal, C. (Editors). 2003. The Global Lepidoptera Names Index (LepIndex). However, Jae-Cheon & Shen-Horn (2005) treat E. fuscifrons as a valid species, and we continue with that treatment.
