Similar species:

Simplicia species with a broad pale marginal band on forewing are: schaldusalis, mistacalis, griseolimbalis (EL), moorei, bimarginata. 
Simplicia species lacking pale broad marginal band on forewing are: cornicalis, robustalis, xanthoma, niphona, concisalis, discosticta, murinalis.
