Note: The type locality of Maliattha quadripartita (Walker, 1865) is "North Hindustan". Most of the records of this species from peninsular on MOI show minor differences from the North Indian individuals with the shape and width of the bands being different, and a small black costal spot on the forewing. Some individuals from peninsular India are also differently coloured, being yellowish-white, rather than pure white. It needs to be investigated whether the South Indian individuals are a different species, or are just individual variation.
