Similar species: Glyphodes prothymalis Swinhoe, 1892
Glyphodes orbiferalis differs from G. prothymalis as below
FW being shorter and broader and less produced at apex in prothymalis, more apex more produced in orbiferalis; white hyaline post-medial patch is triangular in prothymalis and outwardly rounded and quadrate in orbiferalis; HW with white marginal band and cilia in prothymalis, HW with black marginal line and white cilia in orbiferalis.
