Similar species: Garaeus colorata (Warren, 1893)
In Sondhi et al, 2021, (Moths of Tale), the authors had proposed that Garaeus albipuncta (Warren, 1896) be treated as a synonym of G. colorata, but on examining this further, the white tooth below the apex on costa and the shape of the forewing postmedial seem sufficiently different for Garaeus albipuncta (Warren, 1896) to be a separate species.
