Cephonodes hylas (Linnaeus, 1771). Assam, Karnataka (Ghoparde et al.,(2013)), Kerala (Mathew et al., 2018), Madhya Pradesh (Chandra and Nema, 2007) , Punjab (Pathiana et al., 2014),Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand.
Cephonodes picus (Cramer, 1777), Himalayan region (Sanyal et al.,2018), Karnataka (Ghoparde et al., 2013), Madhya Pradesh (Chandra and Nema, 2007), Punjab (Singh and Kaur,2017), Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand (Sondhi and Sondhi, 2016).

Cephonodes picus is very similar species, which has an apical thorn on its tibia, which hylas lacks. Additionally, underside head and thorax of picus is orange, whereas that of hylas is white/whitish or pale yellow.

Cephonodes hylas (Linnaeus, 1771) – Coffee Bee Hawkmoth; Pellucid Hawkmoth: Adina cordifolia, Gardenia sp. (Rubiaceae), Catunaregam spinosa, Coffea sp., Hymenodictyon obovatum, Hymenodictyon orixense, Mitragyna diversifolia, Mitragyna parvifolia (Rubiaceae), Tectona grandis (Lamiaceae), Xylia xylocarpa (Fabaceae) (Robinson et al. 2010).
