Note: The genus traditionally has been placed in the family Arctiidae by authors. Cerny & Pinratana (2011) stated the doubtful position of Baroa in Arctiidae (currently subfamily Arctiinae of Erebidae). The genus has been transferred to the family Nolidae by Holloway (2011) and associated with Eligminae by Zahiri et al. (2013). Notes from Kononenko & Pinratana, (2013).
