Some pointers from Seitz to separate semivitta and contracta
C. semivitta is larger in size.
FW line before vein 5 is straight in semivitta; strongly in bent in contracta
FW reniform and orbicular connected with a white line in semivitta; no line in contracta.
Broad russet band in semivitta is more than contracta. In semivitta, the russet band extends from cell to inner margin. In contracta it extends from submedian fold to inner margin.
In semivitta, the share of the orbicular is differnet, being pointed on one edge, while in contracta it is kidney shaped.

GI: i Naturalist images are not research grade ; some of them don't match
MOT vol 3 part 2 , jp moth etc the markings on the forewing apex and outer margin don't match well. Hence this needs some more exploration
