Singh, N. , R.Ranjan, A. Talukdar, R. Joshi, J. S. Kirti, K. Chandra & R. Mally. 2022. A catalogue of Indian Pyraloidea (Lepidoptera). Zootaxa 5197 (1): 001–423. Pg. 215. https://doi.org/10.11646/zootaxa.5197.1.1
Specimens in Bucharest, Romania. At Grigore Antipa Natural History National Museum. A very good match.
http://globiz.pyraloidea.org/ and Singh et al, 2022 list this as Loxostege violaceotincta (Caradja, 1939).
Identified by po-po-pro who believes that should not be placed in Loxostege. Lepindex places this in Tetridia.
Quite a few records across the Himalayas.

GI: The iNaturalist ids are not Research Grade and there aren't any supporting documents or other identifiers agreeing with it. So it cannot be considered as a valid evidence
If Po Po says it should not be placed in Loxostege; Tetridia as per Lepindex . Application error so pyraloidea websiite does not open this genus. then am not accepting the id for the present.
SS: Globiz places in Loxostege violaceotincta (Caradja, 1939), so following this placement. For image, best is the image athttps://clasate.cimec.ro/Detaliu.asp?tit=sylepta-violaceotincta--Sylepta-violaceotincta-Caradja-1939&k=100c132ebc5146dab66c79fbcda64228. iNaturalist is only for other images. I have also uploaded more images from Himachal Pradesh.
JR: I agree with the species ID. For the generic placement, I think it's better to go with the Globiz Pyraloidea for now.
