Anisodes insitiva Prout, 1920. Nov. Zool. 27:275. South India (TL: Palni Hills). Text at https://www.biodiversitylibrary.org/page/3242914#page/311/mode/1up
Not a good match with the original description. How does one separate from Perixera obliviaria?
Similar species: Perixera obliviaria (Walker, 1861)
https://v3.boldsystems.org/index.php/Taxbrowser_Taxonpage?taxid=283135
Prout mentions leg structure needed to separate obliviaria and insitiva. Without underside and legs, I would be reluctant to confirm ID, and would leave at genus level.
GI: Dieter Stuning examined this in detail before identifying it. FYI.
RS: In detail meaning the specimen was examined? Judging by the plates it does seem to match but given the similar species, I think it will be doubtful unless the specimen was referred to.
SS: Going ahead with prov. ID, as DS agreed with ID.
