LHP: Ipomoea triloba (Convolvulaceae).
Complete life cycle observed. Pic 2,3.
two caterpillars.
SS: Are these two different caterpillars? Appears that the second caterpillar is parasitized? If yes, do upload the two caterpillar observations separately. I have published the rest of the sequence.
NK: Thank you so much sir.??
No sir. it is not parasitized. Actually it is a posture before the prepupal stage. Caterpillars shrink its body and turn towards pupal stage by constructing cocoon using tuft hairs. seen successful pupation but it was predated by some animal.
Sir I have also uploaded the photo of LHP. But since LHP taxon was not in the record, I had to kept it blank, observation got submitted, but it is not visible in my plant observation list. plz look into it and check whether it is uploaded or not. if not I will reupload it.
