seen many last instar caterpillars on this climber. after few days they went on nearby wall for pupation. 5 pupae were formed but they were predated by some animal. two caterpillars reared in the box. one pupa got infected by fungus. 1 adult emerged.
Ipomoea triloba is common exotic climber growing abundantly in the late monsoon season. It can become invasive. this caterpillar acts as natural pest control.
This is new record of LHP for this.
