Similar extralimital species: Oreta speciosa and Oreta brunnea in Song et al 2012. Oreta speciosa: Fig 8, 9, 10. Diagnosis. O. speciosa is almost identical to O. obtusa on wing pattern, but usually has a more arcuate postmedial fascia on the male forewing.
