Similar species is: Hydriris ornatalis (Duponchel, 1832), already on website. Genus as Ercta or Hydriris needs determination. Published Image cn971 is also this species.
My personal notes: Hydriris ornatalis differs from elutalis with the medial area of the forewing usually being as dark as the basal and outer area, which are less suffused with black. This, feature, though, is very variable, and many ornatalis specimens (female?) are paler in the medial area, as well. The postmedial line of forewing is straight from costa to vein 3 and then bent inwards. In elutalis, the post-medial line is sinuous from costa to vein 3, then slightly incurved before obliquely meeting inner margin.
