In O. fuscopurpurea, the forewing apex is shorter, the outer margin below the apex is almost straight, the black patch on the tornal patch of the forewing is replaced by a broad black wavy line, pale pink scales are present on the forewing costa, apex and near the tornal patch, and white speckles are distinct on both angles of the cell on both wings
