Vide Pyralids of Borneo, Wing Length: 10mm. This purple-grey, black and white sp. is readily identified by its FW patterning, with a narrow white band antemedianally and a large ‘B’ shaped white patch at the post median position.
Hampson, G. (1898) A revision of the moths of the subfamily Pyraustinae and the family Pyralidae. Part 1, Proc. zool. soc. Lond.: 590-760
Separating Chabula acamasalis and Chabula telphusalis vide Hampson
Chabula telphusalis is separated from Chabula acamasalis as the patch before the post-medial line on FW is more reniform and does not touch costa, pale patches beyond postmedial on FW & HW, near the tornus are obsolete.
