Description from Hampson (1896; FBI: Moths, Vol. 6)
Bright yellow ; palpi fulvous, white below. Fore wing with indistinct sub-basal line, oblique antemedial line, black speck in cell, and fuscous pale-centred discocellular lunule ; a medial line from vein 2 to inner margin; a postmedial line from below costa to vein 5; a highly sinuous submarginal line with the area beyond it rufous. Hind wing with discocellular lunule; indistinct postmedial line strongly bent outwards between veins 5 and 2, below which it is diffused ; a rufous apical patch and dark streak towards anal angle ; both wings with a black line at base of cilia, which are pure white with black points.
Known from Assam, Nilgris and Sikkim.
