This was a reared individual, which had some deformity in the wing, due to which the length is shorter and the apex is kind of chipped off/undeveloped.

> M. gyrans and M. affictitia, both occur in Karnataka. Also check Dr. Kitching's comment on my other observation #6014, the other individual being referred to, is this one.
> M. gyrans is smaller and has a more diffused color on the HW, but here the color pattern is similar to M. affictitia but size does not match. I am not entirely sure about this, but looks like the best match to corythus.
