Similar species: Filodes sexpunctalis Snellen, 1890. Filodes fulvidorsalis which is less orange-red and has black spots at the middle of cell and discocellulars, which sexpunctalis lacks. Underside of fulvidorsalis has black spots, which sexpunctalis lacks.
