Alcis changmaiensis (extralimital): In appearance, this species is characterized by a reddish brown forewing and broad fuscous marginal band on the hindwing.

Boarmia imbecilis; Hampson, FBI, Vol. 3, pg. 276. Differs from semialba: FW has black-edged white at base on the fovea; ante-medial line is absent; post-medial line is reduced to a almost straight series of specks, with some whitish inside them; purplish band between post-medial and sub-marginal lines.
