HS: This is a species of Paranthrenella; identifying the species without dissecting male genitalia is difficult.
GI: Please provided evidence for identifying this as a species of Paranthrenella spp. As per this paper:
M Nafeesa et al (2025) :New Record of the Genus Paranthrenella Strand (Lepidoptera: Sesiidae) from India and its Infestation on Avocado; Indian Journal of Entomology, Volume: 87 Issue: 3 - https://indianjournals.com/article/ije-87-3-029
The descriptions don't match completely ( given in this and other papers too enough to confirm the id). If you have images of its underside, do post it. may provided more points
for comparison
Therefore , Sesiidae-genera spp. - Clearwing moths
PS: Synanthedon spp looks similar to this. How does one differentiate it from Paranthrenella spp unless one is a sessid expert like Axel Kallies who identified the moth for Sankararaman. Hence keeping it as Sesiidae-genera level
