Notes (optional)
Reposting this observation, had identified this as
Neoduma valvata Kirti, Joshi & Singh, 2014, as compared to the image of N. kuangtungensis on MOI , the post-medial band is much narrower at anal angle. The antemedial patch on termen is also less prominent. Pls check, I am not certain.
SS: Certain seems narrower than N. kuangtungensis. HW needed to be certain. Perhaps a provisional ID as N. valvata.

GI: Neither this nor SS's obs 285088 has the hindwing details but I don't think that will clinch the id. My comments below are based on the descriptions given in Arctiid Moths of India, Vol. 1, pg. 144
The description in it for N kuangtungensis is ," Forewing band broader (comparative to N. valvata) at anal angle."
The description of the FW postmedial band , matches Neoduma kuangtungensis (Daniel, 1951) more than N valvata in SS's observation.
Here in Jonathan's image I would say there is a better match for N valvata, however there isn't a strong case for this not being N kuangtungensis

As per Arctiid Vol 1 description the difference to confirm lie in the genitalia.
" N. valvata Kirti, Joshi & Singh, 2014 is the only species in the Genus with two apical processes of valvae (in all the other Neoduma species such process is single)."

So there is no way to confirm the species unless you think the postmedial pattern is sufficient. I believe it is not enough ; words like broader, shorter, smaller are comparative descriptions. If the moth spreads its wings, or folds it closeer to its body then such pattern's sizes/shapes can change. Its tricky.
