Chabulina cf tenera

Three species are present in genus Chabulina from the oriental region as per Globiz Pyraloidea.
1. Chabulina albinalis (Hampson, 1912: 1263–1264); type locality: Oman [Arabia], Muscat. India, Gujarat [Bombay], Kutch

2. Chabulina onychinalis (Guenée, 1854: 205, pl. 6 fig. 9); type locality: India, Coromandel Coast

= Zebronia braurealis Walker, 1859: 971; type locality: Sri Lanka [Ceylon]. Malaysia, Borneo, Sarawak

3. Chabulina tenera (Butler, 1883: 167–168); type locality: Pakistan, Malir [Mulleer] River near Karachi [Kurrachee]; Karachi [Kurrachee]

We can rule out C. onychinalis since it is different. Dr. Koen Maes had compared the type specimens of the genus. On a personal communication regarding the identification of a similar individual, which I got from Chennai, Dr. Maes suggested that it is likely C. tenera. However, the species is not reported from S. India.
