Idaea gemmaria
Notes (optional)
Already on website
JD : I believe this should be Idaea egenaria (Walker, 1861) that is being considered as extra-limital. I had also posted such a similar observation from Meghalaya earlier, & there is one image of your on MOI from AP. It has been recorded from western Thailand, & hence there is a possibility of its range extending to NE India. The differences with other images of gemmaria as well in references are quite distinctive. I am reposting the references below, as well as my images -

2) The Macrolepidoptera of the World, Seitz, Vol 12 pg 237 & Pl 12/23l as Sterrha egenaria

Similar spp – Idaea gemmaria from S. India, the FW fascia is broader with purplish suffusion centrally towards inner margin & has strong curvature on inner edge of fascia near anterior end (FW fascia narrower, with much less purple suffusion, & with straighter inner edge in I. egenaria.). Differences are also mentioned in Seitz's description of gemmaria
I. gemmataria Hampson (Sri Lanka) as mentioned by Holloway in MOB is an error as clarified by him, refer - An inventory of geometrid moths of Kalakad-Mundanthurai Tiger Reserve, India, Iyer et al
GI: Agree I gemmaria; disagree I egenaria. Pl see my comments in Obs 273076
