Calesia dasypterus Kollar, 1844
Calesia dasypterus, female, but the white spot is larger. It will be good to check out other females from NE India: Calesia flabellifera Moore, 1878, Calesia proxantha Hampson, 1895, Calesia rhodotela Hampson, 1926 and Calesia roseiceps Hampson, 1894

GI: May be C rhodotela Female
Based on exploration of the above mentioned alternatives, see the following information:
C flabellifera - antennae white
proxantha - smaller and minute white dot
roseiceps - description of male available in Hampson's FBI vol 2 but is of little signficance as it matches C dasypterus male. Nothing to differentiate.
rhodotela -Male( female's description not available) thorax has a reddish tinge; wings uniform pale glossy grey-brown with a slight reddish tinge.( Hampson 1926)-
The reddish tinge described for the male appears to be present in this female.Hence suggesting it could be C rhodotela. May not be a robust id.

The only source that can throw more light seems to be POOLE Ed: Lepidopterorum catalogus (New Series) 118: Noctuidae Lepid. cat. (n.s.) 118
SS: Calesia rhodotela male and female are shown in MOT Vol. 3, pl. 8/11-12. So it is definitely not this species. Lets stay with Calesia dasypterus, female, as provisional ID.
