Li et al in Review of the genus Calamotropha Zeller from China, with descriptions of four new species, 2012 , Journal of Natural History, 46:43-44, 2639-2664 states that - This species resembles C. indica Bleszynski, 1961, but can be distinguished by the genitalia. Here too the range includes India.
SS: Calamotropha indica Błeszyński, 1961 and Calamotropha melli Caradja & Meyrick, 1933 which is the similar species.
Li, W. and Li, H., 2012. Review of the genus Calamotropha Zeller (Lepidoptera: Crambidae: Crambinae) from China, with descriptions of four new species. Journal of natural history, 46(43-44), pp.2639-2664. Pg. 2659, Figure3C. for C. melli. Very close to C. indica. However, with the TL of C. indica being Sikkim, and Li & Li (2012) just mentioning "India", I propose we publish this as C. indica, with a provisional ID, stating that it could also be C. melli, and separation in best done by examining genitalia.
