Gastropacha pardale
Numerous species of Gastropacha Ochsenheimer, 1810 are known from India. Gastropacha pardale (Walker, 1855), Gastropacha sikkima Moore, 1879, Gastropacha xenapates Tams, 1935, Gastropacha philippinensis, Gastropacha koniensis to name some of them. These species are best separated by examining male genitalia. Hence, species level identities are difficult from photographs only.
