Hypomecis transcissa
Notes (optional)
Hypomecis infixaria

SS: I have struggled to separate transcissa and infixaria. The most certain way of doing so is the underside. I will upload images to show this shortly. And yes, I do think this is Hypomecis infixaria (Walker, 1860)
Boarmia infixaria Walker, 1860. List of the specimens of lepidopterous insects in the collection of the British Museum Vol. 21. p. 379 . Text at https://www.biodiversitylibrary.org/item/120012#page/645/mode/1up
FBI, Hampson, Vol. 3, pg. 271, # 3422 as Boarmia infixaria.

Kirti, J.S., T. Goyal & M. Kaur (2009). Morphology of the external male genitalia of five Indian geometrid species (Lepidoptera). Journal of Threatened Taxa 1(9): 484-487.
Goyal, 2010. Western Ghat geometrids, Plate 38 for transcissa and plate 39 for infixaria. To my mind, these are incorrect and the images have been interchanged.
Goyal, T., 2010. Taxonomic studies on family Geometridae (Lepidoptera) from Western Ghats of India. PhD thesis, Punjabi University. 279 pp., 107 pls.
Vide Hampson, pg 271, transcissa differs from infixaria in the antemedial line of fore wing being less regular ; the cell-spots smaller ; the medial line waved ; the
postmedial line of both wings more oblique ; the submarginal line much more prominent. Underside pale fuscous, with small cell-spots, obsolescent postmedial line, and diffused marginal band.
