ID: Pingasa pseudoterpinaria (Guenée, [1858])
Pingasa pseudoterpinaria (Guenée, [1858]) with two subspecies known from India.
Pingasa pseudoterpinaria gracilis Prout, 1916. Khasi Hills.
Pingasa pseudoterpinaria tephrosiaria Guenée, [1858]. NW Himalaya.
Pingasa pseudoterpinaria gracilis Prout, 1916. Novit. Zool. 23:7. TL: Khasi Hills. Text at https://www.biodiversitylibrary.org/item/105188#page/23/mode/1up
FBI, Hampson, Vol. 3, pg. 473 as Pseudoterpa tephrosiaria and listing Pingasa pseudoterpinaria as a synonym. Differs from chlora in being uniformly and much more irrorated with fuscous. Underside without traces of yellow, but with a grey
tinge ; the submarginal band fuscous, much reduced, and narrow. Black-tipped points of the post-medial present in pseudoterpinaria; absent in chlora. The second loop (near the inner margin) of the ante-medial line is more pointed in chlora; more rounded in pseudoterpinaria.

Han Geo, Fauna Sinica, Pl. 10/8-9 for Pingasa chlora chlora
Han Geo, Fauna Sinica Pl. 10/14-15 for Pingasa pseudoterpinaria. Seems very similar to Pingasa chlora. Pingasa pseudoterpinaria has much narrower black submarginal bands.

RS: Agree with ID. It does look similar to P. chlora but the keys for UN in OD match well and also the other specimen images are a good match.
GI: This looks very much like P dispensata, but its restricted to Central and South India and lower elevations of Bengal according to Seitz. The female of P dispensata has very similar markings like this one and the underside is grey too.
SS: I agree that it looks similar to P dispensata with OD at https://www.biodiversitylibrary.org/item/120012#page/701/mode/1up. However, the base of P. dispensata UN is luteous, as per OD, which is not the case in Pingasa pseudoterpinaria. Moreover Hampson mentions P. dispensata is smaller and whiter. Comparing the images side by side, P dispensata is whiter. BTW, TL for P. dispensata is N. India. However, given that I have the underside, the ID as Pingasa pseudoterpinaria is more certain than P. dispensata, where UN is not visible.
