MON Part 3, Pl. 78/8.
Numerous other uploads from Siang of this this species. Males & females.
JD : Apha zephyrus Zolotuhin & Pugaev that is mentioned as it's sister species is also very similar. Diagnosis mentioned by Zolotuhin - "The males of the species differ from some of the other members of the group by having a well expressed “double” postmedial fascia on the hind wing. This “double” postmedial fascia can be also found in A. zephyrus and A. witti, but in both the latter species this fascia (not its basal shadow) is much more weakly expressed. The species A. floralis can be distinguished from A. zephyrus sp. nov. and A.witti sp. nov. by the smaller distance between the postmedial fascia and outer wing margin" .
This individual does not have a clear double post-medial fascia on the HW. The other diagnostic point is not easy to distinguish.
A.zephyrus is described with a distribution from NE.Myanmar & Yunnan that are both close to AP. However, Zolotuhin states that this species is allopatric with floralis & vicariant. Since there is an observation by Geetha from Gobuk (further east) that is clearly floralis, would also consider this as floralis.
