Probably replaces Herochroma cristata in South India. I think this is the only Herochroma from S. India.
Herochroma costata Kirti, Goyal & Kaur, 2012. This was described from Karnataka. This species name is thus considered a nomen nudum (Plotkin & Kawahara, 2020).

GI: Yes this is likely Herochroma subspoliata (Prout, 1916). In the KMTR paper we have only given a tentative id as Herochroma cf cristata Warren, 1894. But the references given above point clearly to H subspoliata. I accept the ID
The paper by Kirti,Goyal & Kaur 2012 has several ids that fall under the category of nomen nudum, hence to be ignored.
Also suggest we create a page for updating ids that appear wrongly identified in published papers. I would like to record these corrections in my paper at some easily available reference site, such as MOI.

RS: Agree with the ID. Publishing the page.
@Geetha- Creating a page only for updating the IDs for the old website's correction will take a fair bit of work and also, I am not sure if that should be done right now because hopefully we will figure out a way to be able to edit those and fix them relatively easy. Until then, perhaps all such cases can be boxed up in a word document? If I'm not wrong, SS already has such a list.
