MON, Part 4, pg. 192, Pl. 127/9. Mentions that pernigralis by Ragonot, 1891 is the same species, so should not this then be listed as Prosaris pernigralis (Ragonot, 1891)?
Prosaris pernigralis; Hampson, FBI, Vol. 4, pg. 174, # 4596. Genus level description mentions long, down curved labial palps.
Hypsopygia pernigralis (Ragonot, 1891); Singh, N., Ahmad, J. & Joshi, R. (2018). Diversity of moths (Lepidoptera) with new faunistic records from North East Jharkhand, India. Records of Zoological Survey of India, 117(4): 326-340.
Globiz lists Hypsopygia pernigralis (Ragonot, 1891) and Prosaris pernigralis Meyrick, 1894 as separate species.
RPS: I agree that old observations bt136-137 are the same species
