SS: Monopis trimaculella (Snellen, 1885)
Lepindex mentions Ceylon, then scratches it to change to Sulawesi.
Monopis tripetala Meyrick, 1905. Sri Lanka is listed as a synonym of Monopis trimaculella (Snellen, 1885).

JR: The observation definitely belongs to the genus Monopis. But in Snellen's original illustrations in plate 2, 5-7, the moth shows some creamy markings along the apex. Furthermore, the illustration shows a dark bar along the costal margin bordering the creamy blotch near the costal margin. Maybe its due to population level variations!

Looking at the illustration in the OD, and given the TL of trimaculella is Sulawesi, will stay with a genus level ID.
