SS: Theretra boisduvalii. Theretra sumatrensis and Theretra clotho are similar to this species. The abdomen in this species has a series of paired black spots, absent in both T. clotho & T. sumatrensis. The abdomen of T. sumatrensis has a dark medial line (maybe indistinct) and T. clotho is unmarked.Forewing postmedial line that runs from the apex is distinct in T. clotho, broken in T. sumatrensis and this species.
