SS: Superficially like Orphanostigma abruptalis, but markings differ; hence not this species. Needs investigation.
SS: Orphanostigma vibiusalis (Walker, 1859)
FBI, Hampson, Vol. 4, pg. 280, # 4826.
OD: Botys vibiusalis Walker, 1859. Pyralides. – List of the Specimens of Lepidopterous Insects in the Collection of the British Museum, London 18: 509–798. Pg. 634.
The only issue I have is that the TL is Congo, Africa, though Hampson (and other S. Indian literature) report it from Nilgiris and Rangoon, I wonder whether it is the same species.
JD : agree with ID
SS: ID revised to Dichocrocis revidata
