Orphanostigma vibiusalis (Walker, 1859).
FBI, Hampson, Vol. 4, pg. 280, # 4826.
OD: Botys vibiusalis Walker, 1859. Pyralides. – List of the Specimens of Lepidopterous Insects in the Collection of the British Museum, London 18: 509–798. Pg. 634.
The only issue I have is that the TL is Congo, Africa, though Hampson (and other S. Indian literature) report it from Nilgiris and Rangoon, I wonder whether it is the same species.

JD : The type locality of vibiusalis (Botys) is Congo - https://www.biodiversitylibrary.org/item/120189#page/664/mode/1up
Agreed regarding the possibility of these being different species considering the vast difference between the two ranges & type of habitat. Else the specimen from the collection (Sir J. Richardson) may have the location incorrect. I think we should keep this as Orphanostigma spp., as all the descriptions referred to are not sufficient for clear diagnosis.

S: I reviewed this species again. Obs ID: 221375, 221614, 221355 are the same species, with two males and a female. I have the following observations to make:
http://www.afromoths.net/species/show/14719 lists the species, but without any image.
Hampson gives its distribution as Africa (Congo), India (Nilgiris) and Myanmar (Rangoon).
Lepindex (listed as Syngamia) gives its distribution as W. Africa, S. India, Burma and Formosa.
https://africanmoths.com/pages/CRAMBIDAE/SPILOMELINAE/Orphanostigma%20abruptalis.html, which is quite a thorough website, gives vibiusalis species as found in Africa, but with no images.
Walker, F. 1859. Part XVIII.–Pyralides. – List of the Specimens of Lepidopterous Insects in the Collection of the British Museum, London 18: 509–798. Pg. 39. Lists from Nilgiris with no description.
Warren, W. 1890. Descriptions of some new genera of Pyralidae. – Annals and Magazine of Natural History, including Zoology, Botany and Geology, London (ser. 6) 6: 474-479. Pg. 273. Lists as Marasmia vibiusalis from Burma (Myanmar) with no description.
I also notice that some of the abruptalis individuals from S. India on iNaturalist are possibly vibiusalis. One of the consistent differences I see is whitish cilia with black marginal line in vibiusalis, and double black marginal lines in most abruptalis. Given this, I think we should publish the three images by Bhanu as Orphanostigma vibiusalis (Walker, 1859), with a provisional ID, and appropriate note that this species might be different from the African taxon and needs further investigation.
