Differences with similar looking Dysgonia spp. (not exhaustive) -
D. stuposa - the medial band is suffused with brownish purple-grey. outer edge of this band is diffuse.
D. torrida - the medial band is white or clear, inner edge evenly curved or if with angled then this angle is closer to the inner margin, medial band is narrowest nearer to inner margin.
D. algira - the medial band is grey, inner edge is angled centrally, with the line straight on either side, medial band is narrowest centrally.
D. properata - similar to D. torrida, but the post-medial line is highly irregular.
