1) A revision of the genus Tridrepana Swinhoe, Watson, pg 454;

Tridrepana septempunctata belongs to the Tridrepana crocea species group.
This group is readily distinguishable from the T. albonotata group by presence of three medial spots on FW of both sexes (visible here), & a dark patch of scales at the base of cell on FW underside in the male (underside not taken).

T. septempunctata septempunctata is distinguishable from T. crocea (pg 458) as below – FW more strongly falcate, upperside with medial shade darker, enlarged anterior markings of subterminal, especially spot between M1 & M2, with broader whitish edge, etc.
Matches on all these points. The other taxa in this group are extra-limital.

2) An updated Checklist of Superfamily Drepanoidea from India, Joshi et al, pg 13 #105 ;
Tridrepana septempunctata nitidior Watson, 1957 is known from Sumatra.

3) OD : Tridrepana septempunctata Warren, Novit. Zool. 3: 339
