Ornithospila avicularia (Guenée, 1857). India: Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Sikkim, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand; Nepal; Bhutan.
Ornithospila esmeralda (Hampson, 1895). India: Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Nagaland; Myanmar.
Ornithospila lineata (Moore, 1872). India: Sikkim, Meghalaya, Kerala, Tamil Nadu; Sri Lanka.
Ornithospila submontrans (Walker, 1861). India: Uttarakhand, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Kerala, Tamil Nadu.

Similar species: Ornithospila avicularia.
Separating avicularia and submontrans:
O. avicularia: Fasciae of wings wavy. Wing fringes mainly red.
O. submontrans: Fasciae of wings wavy. Hindwing red discal mark a chevron; white fringes usually crossed by red at the veins.
